CHROMIUM
Chromium is a chemical element (Cr) and hard metal with a high melting point. Examples of uses of chromium include:
- In-chrome plating, as alloy in stainless steel
- Dyes and paints (eg, emerald green, synthetic rubies, yellow for paint)
- Tanning of leather
- Chemical reagent used in cleaning laboratory glassware
- As anti-corrosive in drilling mud’s
- Gasoline additive
